The first step in managing it is being aware that this is what you're feeling and forgive yourself. The problem with jealousy is when it starts to control your life or becomes the principle manager of your relationship. And there are two possible reasons why this is happening. Unjustified paranoia. Or justified paranoia.

I have a checklist for testing the validity of jealous feelings that I've honed over the years and i think it's pretty damn accurate if I do say so myself.

      1. How often do you catch your partner hiding things from you?

      2. How often do you catch your partner in a lie?

      3. Have you even set any clear relationship boundaries yet?

      4. How do your friends or family feel about you and your partner's relationship?

      5. What kinds of friends does your partner have?

Sneak Peek: Making of the new Slants video "How the Wicked Live"

It’s no secret that I love The Slants. On random days I click on their website and just listen to the tracks non-stop for the duration of the day. It’s feel good music. It’s dance, dance music. It’s even good background music. When I first came across The Slants I was searching the net for an Asian-American rock band, or rather, The Asian-American rock band. So going on this electronic trek I noticed a growing field of promising bands and solo artists from countless streams from countless sites ranging from the R&B acoustic jammers to the cutting-edge of Hip Hop, but something about The Slants stood out. Something about their music and their look carried a certain mystique which dropped hints that maybe these guys know themselves not only as musicians but as a group of guys living in 2010.

Bruno Mars, or Peter Gene Hernandez, who is known for his vocals and co-writing the hooks for the songs "Nothin' on You" by B.o.B, and "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy, as well as his own international number-one single "Just the Way You Are", has just released his debut album, Doo-Wops and Hooligans.

You can read more about his story here at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruno_Mars

I heard his voice for the first time on "Billionaire" and was intrigued by its smoothness and effortlessness to hit the high notes. In some ways, his voice reminded me of Justin Nozuka's but with more of a soul flair. I was very curious to see what his own album would be like as I was only familiar with his music as a vocal accent to other artists' songs.

So without further ado, let's break down the album, track by track. ...

As a fan of Asian-American media, it's always exciting when a young and hungry Asian artist attempts to make their mark in the world. What’s even more exciting is when you know they have talent and when you can really get a sense of their desire to create something that people will appreciate.

So when we came into contact with Andrew Chung and his current project, we raised an eyebrow, and when we asked him if he could answer a few questions about his project, he was more than willing. Meet Andrew Chung, a Toronto-based filmmaker who’s had his rounds on the short film festival circuit with shorts such as Goodbye Karrie and Word, and his current project that’s just about to get off the ground, a web-based series entitled MILLIONS.

This was the first year that the Kollaboration event was expanded to the DC area. For those of you that are not familiar with Kollaboration, this is their description of "WHO WE ARE" on their webpage.

"Kollaboration is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is EMPOWERMENT THROUGH ENTERTAINMENT.
We are dedicated to the promotion of a strong Asian Pacific Islander American presence in entertainment.

We use this positive presence to aid other charitable and community causes."

In summary, it is basically a talent show that serves as a platform for emerging Asian American artists to showcase their gifts and enhance or even launch their career.

Since the end of the grunge era, truly creative hard rock has been relatively scarce. Lately, mainstream charts seem dominated by pop acts whose music may be catchy, but often lacks a certain depth and intensity for rock fans. So who will resuscitate rock ‘n’ roll for those of us with a taste for thumping bass and heavy guitars? Enter VAMPS and their refreshing high energy, uncompromising style. This Japanese band strips hard rock down to bone and blood, putting the stomp back in fans’ boots with concerts in the art form’s American birthplace and throughout the world. Though they capitalize on the recent social phenomenon of vampire infatuation, this is merely an embellishment to the real meat of VAMPS’ work: creating original compositions that honor the members’ origins while forging a fresh interpretation of true rock.
